The chapter on ancient Greece was my favorite chapter that I enjoyed in world history. Enjoyed that chapter the most because I got to learn about the greek gods, which are what the people of Greece believed in. I thought learning about the people of ancient Greece civilization was great. Another chapter that I like to learn about in world history class was world war 1 I enjoyed learning about that because I enjoyed learning about how so many different nations joined the war. I also liked learn about how the alliance system that Europe had at the time, which cause the war to begin. As you can see I have liked many things that I learned in world history class.
In the chapter that we learned about ancient Greece, I learned many things about Greece. For example I have learned that many people in Greece believed in the Greek Gods such as Zeus and Poseidon and many more. I have also learned the Greeks way of life, for example most people in Greece mostly fished because of their geography. Their geography was near the water which caused fishing. If people in Greece were not near water they would farm. In world war 2 I have learned that the assassination of Francis Ferdinand of Austria Hungary, started the war. This started the war because of the alliance system.
This year I have learned many new things. For example one new skill that I learned was map skills. During this year I have learned how to use maps more. While we were in our chapter we would get a map of where we were studying and then we would have to locate places there. Then we would have to make a scale. Making a scale for the map was another new skill that I learned. It was a very new skill that I have never done before.
You can apply this knowledge to the real world because if you want to become archeologists you have to know about the ancient Egyptian and their way of life. Another example is if you were hiking you would need to know the geography of that land. One more example is reading maps. As you can see I learned so many new things in world history class.
